Project Description: Total renovation of 50,000 SF historic building with classrooms, faculty offices, studios, and exhibit space. Designed to meet LEED "Silver" criteria.
Systems Commissioned: HVAC: steam system, steam to heating water converter, heating water distribution, chilled water distribution, pressure relief devices, AHU's and distribution systems, air terminal units, misc. supply and exhaust fans, air conditioning units and variable frequency drives. Plumbing: domestic hot water recirculation system and trap primer systems. Controls: DDC sequences of operation, graphics, sensors and calibration, trend logging, report generation, alarm generation, remote access, security password access, control loop stability, system under loss of power and recover. Unitary Controls: sequences of operation and alarming, loop stability and safety features. HVAC/Fire Alarm system Interfaces: combination fire/smoke dampers, HVAC system response, recovery of HVAC fan systems. Electrical Systems: review record sheets provided by the test engineer, verify uninterruptible power system.
Commissioning Scope: Focused review of design documents, development of commissioning specifications, commissioning of all major mechanical and electrical systems, development of re-commissioning manual, and participation in owner training.
