Project Description: Commissioning of an 80,000 square foot new student union building and recreation center.
Systems Commissioned: Large air handling units, generator, variable frequency drives, exhaust fans, make-up air units (kitchen), cabinet heaters, pumps, steam/hot water generation systems, and all associated controls. Additional systems include plumbing, lighting controls, access control, fire alarm and power distribution (oversight), and TAB verification.
Commissioning Scope: Project scope includes design review, writing of commissioning specifications, commissioning of all major mechanical systems and equipment. Review contract documents. Attend pre-bid meeting. Review contractor equipment submittals. Develop and provide formal commissioning plan. Conduct initial on-site commissioning coordination meeting. On going meetings and site visits with reports. Witness contractor start up procedures. Perform installation verification of commissioned systems. Witness and/or perform FPTs. Verify TAB. RE-test failed systems and back check of issues (1 per re-test or back-check issue). Review contractor provided O&M manuals. Provide final commissioning report. Seasonal testing. Near warranty end review. Verify owner training.
